Throughout the year, Providence holds several fund raising events to help keep a Providence education affordable. Noteworthy among these are:
The Annual Pioneer Golf Scramble
This annual outing provides an opportunity for local golfers to enjoy a day on the links, compete for awards and prizes, and support the school’s student financial assistance efforts. Begun in 1998, the scramble is held in late August and is graciously hosted by Fuzzy Zoeller at one of his renowned courses, Covered Bridge or Champions Pointe.
The Annual Student Assistance Program (ASAP) Kick-off Dinner
The dinner kicking off Providence’s annual appeal for student assistance is held in the fall. Guests are invited to a complimentary dinner featuring a guest speaker and are asked to make their commitment to ASAP.
Gala Dinner and Auction
Held each year in late January, the Gala is the school’s largest gathering of Providence supporters and raises more than $60,000 for the theatre program, athletics, and financial aid. The Awards of Distinction are presented, and guests can bid on silent and live auction items. Sponsors for the event receive prominent advertising during the evening, in the program, and on the school website.
