The Pioneers finished the season 33-3 and for the second year in a row, reached the 4A Final Four. Highlights included the program’s second-ever undefeated season at home and first since 1989. The Pioneers defeated rival Floyd Central to win their eighth-consecutive sectional championship and defeated Castle, MaxPreps.com’s No. 16 team in the country, to win their eighth straight regional championship.

Providence was led in offense by sophomore Ali Hornung, who became the first Pioneer to reach 500 kills in a season in program history. Hornung was selected First Team All State by the Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association. Seniors Hanna Mitchell and Lilly Bivens were selected to the Second Team. Ali, Hanna, Lilly and fellow senior Courtney Glotzbach were also named to the IHSVCA 4A South All-District team. These seniors finish their volleyball careers with four sectionals, four regionals, one state runner-up finish, and one state championship with an overall record of 141-14, tied for the best four-season record in program history.
