2018-2019 Swim & Dive

The 2018-2019 Swim & Dive season was one of its most successful in a decade with 31 members. The Boys Swim went 8-6 for the season, swept all Mid-Southern Conference teams, and advanced to sectional finals in seven events. In sectional, the team finished with a 10-year high in points with 118 and placed seventh out of 16 teams, finishing just behind New Albany and ahead of all the Mid-Southern Conference schools. All three of the relay teams swam in the sectional championship heat for the first time in many years. 

Girls Swim team went 5-9 for the season and advanced to swim sectional finals in four events, including all three relays. Junior Meg LaMaster placed 11th in 100-yard breaststroke. 

The Diving team is in its second year since being restarted last year and now has the largest dive team in southern Indiana. In Girls Dive, junior Nadia Brooks, in her first year, placed second at sectional and advanced to  regionals. In Boys Dive, senior Tanner Carver set the school record in the 1 meter 6 dive event with a high score of 229.05.

The team graduates seniors Abby Glotzbach, Daryl Hunton, Tanner Carver, Bryce Drury, Thomas Gaines, Harry Green, Sam LaMaster and Tyler Upton. With a strong core of experienced underclassmen, the future looks bright for the 2019-2020 season.

2018-2019: 

  • Girls: three relay teams and one individual advanced to sectional finals; one placed second at diving sectional and advanced to regional
  • Boys: three relay teams advanced to championship round in sectional finals, and three individuals advanced in four events.

2017-2018:

  • Girls: three relay teams and two individuals in three events advanced to sectional finals; one placed third at diving sectional and advanced to regional
  • Boys: three relay teams and two individuals in three events advanced to sectional finals; one placed third at diving sectional and advanced to regional

2016-2017 :

  • Girls: three relay teams and two individuals advanced to sectional finals
  • Boys: three relay teams and two individuals in three events advanced to sectional finals

2015-2016:

  • Girls: one individual advanced to sectional finals
  • Boys: two relays teams and two individuals in three events advanced to sectional finals

2014-2015:

  • Girls: two relays teams advanced to sectional finals
  • Boys: two relays teams and two individuals advanced to sectional finals
